The Spongebob-inspired Toyota Sienna

Last year, Toyota revealed a super awesome version of its new 2014 Highlander decked out to look like Spongebob Squarepants. The vehicle, which was designed as the result of a partnership between Toyota and Nickelodeon, toured the country last summer to promote the newly redesigned SUV, and to meet and greet Spongebob fans from across the nation.

Now, Toyota and Nickelodeon are back once more with a Spongebob-inspired Toyota Sienna minivan created to help promote Toyota’s Swagger Wagon, as well as the upcoming movie, The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. The vehicle debuted yesterday at the 2014 LA Auto Show, where it will be on display for the duration of the show. Once the show is over, the Spongebob Sienna will take a trip around the states to promote the movie’s premiere, scheduled for February 6th, 2015.

Spongebob-inspired Toyota Sienna

The Spongebob-inspired Toyota Sienna is, unsurprisingly, yellow. Its windshield is designed to look like Spongebob’s superhero persona from the movie, complete with a hoop on the roof that blows real bubbles, just like superhero Spongebob in the movie. Inside, the Sienna’s steering wheel is designed to look like the helm of a ship, and the dash and doors are given a blue wood-like appearance. Each of the minivan’s seats is a different color, and looks like a bit of a hodgepodge of various materials.

In addition to the Spongebob Sienna, Toyota and Nickelodeon have created a promotional website that, starting on December 15th, will provide information on where you can see the Spongebob Sienna, as well as allow you to view a gallery of images of the vehicle. Starting January 5th, Spongebob fans can log onto the website to enter a sweepstakes to win a trip for a family of four to the premiere of the new movie.

Hopefully we will get to spy the Spongebob-inspired Toyota Sienna at some point during its cross-country tour. Be sure to let us know if you catch a glimpse!
