Geared to compete with the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade, the Chevy Traverse boasts a commanding presence, family-friendly features, comfortable amenities, and serious towing capability to satisfy a large group on the go.

“The Chevrolet, the world’s first SUV in 1935, has long been the largest SUV in the U.S. market, the home of large SUVs,” said President and CEO of GM Korea, Kaher Kazem, in a statement. “Traverse will appeal to discerning customers who want to express their personality and extend their life experiences with captivating designs and proven high-tech specifications.”

According to GM Authority writer Deivis Centeno, drivers in South Korea can choose between several trims/styling package options of the seven-seat accommodating full-size SUV — LT Leather, LT Leather Premium, Redline, RS, and Premier.

Centeno notes that drivers in South Korea will experience the same get-up-and go power of the Chevy Traverse as drivers do in North America as all models will be equipped with the 3.6-liter V6 LFY engine. This engine is paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Powertrain ratings are 310 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Driving performance can be customized depending on road conditions from all-wheel to front-wheel drive thanks to the Traverse’s selectable AWD mode.

Best known for its impressive size, the Traverse offers so much more to drivers.

“The Chevrolet Traverse also features a wide range of standard technology and safety equipment that allow it to set itself apart from the competition. These include the Rear Camera Mirror, which increases rearward visibility by 300 percent, and a central airbag that prevents the driver and front passenger from colliding and injuring each other during an accident,” reports Centeno.
