Going Green: Outlander PHEV considered Green SUV of the Year
Details on the 2020 model
The 2020 Outlander PHEV is offering a new Premium Interior Package specifically to the GT trim. This package gives a more luxurious appearance to the SUV. Consumers can now also choose a Red Diamond premium color for their vehicle.
To help increase safety, the SEL trim is now equipped with Forward Collision Mitigation, Automatic High Beams, and Lane Departure Warning. Meanwhile, the GT trim no longer has the headlight manual switch.
The 2020 Outlander PHEV has also increased comfort. The second-row seats have a new shape to make rides more relaxing for passengers. The driver’s seat is improved with the addition of power lumbar support to hopefully minimize back pain on long drives.
The already innovative technology is getting some upgrades with a new Mitsubishi Power Sound System on the GT trim, which is replacing the Rockford-Fosgate audio unit. On both the GT and the SEL trims, a new second-generation Smartphone-link Display Audio has been added. The 8-inch unit comes with improved HVAC knob controls.
For the rear seats, a second USB charging port is also included in the new SEL trim, bringing the total USB ports to three. Thanks to the 110-volt power outlet, the GT trim still has a standard two USB ports, which are split between the front and back seats.
Beyond Borders: Outlander PHEV popularity in Europe
The 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is sure to generate lots of excitement around the latest generation. Luckily, the wait for the beloved green SUV shouldn’t be too long, since it’s supposed to be up for grabs by September of 2019.
