With 11 victories in the first 14 races of the season, Toyota has already secured its fourth manufacturers’ championship in the ARCA Menards Series even though there are still six races to go.

This is Toyota’s third consecutive ARCA title and almost seems like a repeat of the 2018 season, when the manufacturer clinched the title after winning the first 12 races on the trot. It then went on to grab another six victories to make it 18 wins out of 20.

ARCA is a minor, semi-professional league of stock car racing that serves as a feeder series toward NASCAR, where Toyota also enjoys great success.

“The ARCA Menards Series is a strong platform for Toyota’s driver development program, giving many of our young drivers their first chance to compete on larger race tracks behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry,” said Laura Pierce, Toyota Motor North America’s GM of motorsports.

In 2019, six Toyota drivers from Joe Gibbs Racing, DGR Crosley, and Venturini Motorsports contributed to the manufacturer’s 11 wins, including Chandler Smith and Michael Self, who won four times and three times each, respectively.

“Winning 11 of the first 14 races this season is a credit to our talented group of drivers and our race team partners,” Pierce added. “With six races remaining this season, we’re focused on also watching one of our drivers hoist the championship trophy.”

Toyota began racing in the ARCA in 2007 and has since become one of the most successful manufacturers in the competition, scoring 80 wins out of 258 races (a 31 percent win rate), earning four manufacturer’s titles (2013, 2017-2019) and three driver’s titles (2009, 2013, 2018) along the way. With Self currently leading the driver standings, Toyota could add a fourth driver’s title to its tally.
