Toyota TRD Pro Off-Road Kits Take Trucks to the Next Level
Some people buy trucks for business needs, while others love the feel of riding high on the road and hauling anything from a couch to a washing machine. Others prefer their trucks to be heavy on the performance and crave speed as they cruise through town in their pickups. For the latter group, we have some good news. The factory-installed Toyota Racing Development (TRD) Pro off-road kits will be available on the Toyota Tundra, 4Runner, and Tacoma starting with the 2015 model year, and these packages promise to make driving fun, fearless, and fierce.
Available on all four-wheel drive versions of these vehicles, the Toyota TRD Pro off-road kits take your run-of-the-mill hauling machine and turn it into an off-road adventuremobile. Highlights of the Toyota TRD Pro off-road kits include larger alloy wheels designed for heavy-duty off-roading, a dual cat-back exhaust system, and Bilstein monotube shocks with remote reservoirs. This gives the vehicles an additional 10 horsepower to propel them up to speed more quickly.
Each Toyota TRD Pro off-road truck comes with the usual 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. This means that the performance parts used are much more durable than aftermarket parts you might have purchased in the past to soop up your truck. In fact, Toyota says that this package is the most advanced of its kind ever offered for retail by the Japanese automaker.
