Travis Barker’s Custom K5 Blazer is a Piece of Art
When it comes to celebrity rides, everybody is a little bit different. Pop star Justin Bieber enjoys Lamborghinis, NBA player LeBron James loves the Kia K900, and retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. buys anything that’s ultra rare and expensive.
That’s where musician Travis Barker steps in as a truly unique celebrity car collector.

Instead of having an Instagram account full of photos of say a Ferrari LaFerrari or McLaren Fl, Barker has been busy updating his followers about the progress of his custom Chevy K5 Blazer. The passion that Barker has shown in customizing his old Blazer makes a lot of sense when you consider he has the Chevy logo tattooed on his left hand.
The first modification Barker made to the Blazer was equipping it with original six-inch soft ride springs, and giving it a custom paint job which transformed it from a funky orange to a more relaxed gray.
The Blazer has also been fitted with an LS3 Corvette/Camaro engine, LED strip roof lighting, powder-coated roll bars, Nitto tires, new seats, and a bikini top, among other alterations.
It’s nice to see a celebrity car collector with truly unique taste and the commitment to see a car project be completed, rather than one who just buys the flashiest car he can to simply show how wealthy he is.
