We got our first full look at the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V back at the LA Auto Show, and it was good. Rocking a Twin Turbo 3.6-liter V6 that churns out 455 horsepower and can jump from 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds, the ATS-V has the kind of crazy performance you’d expect from a Corvette all wrapped up in the handsome luxury that is expected from the Cadillac brand.

With the ATS-V, seeing is believing, but there’s so much more seeing to be done past the static images. You don’t have to take our word for it. We’ll dangle the bait of an ATS-V burnout here for you and just see how long it takes for you to snap it up.

That was a pretty tasty little morsel, wasn’t it? It’s okay, you don’t have to pretend you didn’t like it; the ATS-V Coupe’s brand of candy won’t break your New Year’s Resolution one bit (unless you have a strict “no awesomeness” policy).

Oh, and as for that 0 to 60 thing? That’s always better to see (and hear) for yourself, right? Well, drink it in:

We’re not sure what’s more impressive: the 3.8-second 0 to 60 time, that it took less than 15 seconds to hit 138 miles per hour, or that it went from 138 to 0 in less than five seconds.

Yikes.

And just for posterity, we’ll end it on one final note: dat exhaust note doe:

Enjoy your weekend.
