1. 2019 Chevy Bolt EV

As you might have guessed, the brand’s two eco-friendly car models are the most efficient of the entire Chevy lineup. The 2019 Bolt EV comes in first place. As an electric vehicle, the Bolt gets a combined EPA-estimated 119 MPGe, or miles per gallon (of gasoline) equivalent. That includes 128 MPGe in the city and 110 MPGe on the highway.

2019 Chevrolet Volt

2. 2019 Chevy Volt

Chevy’s second green car model, the 2019 Chevy Volt plug-in hybrid, comes in second place for efficiency. It gets an EPA-estimated 106 MPGe while using electricity and 42 mpg while using gas. Enjoy the Volt while you can, however, since it’s one of the sedans that Chevy has decided to phase out after this model year.

3. 2019 Chevy Malibu Hybrid

The Hybrid trim of the 2019 Chevy Malibu achieves 46 mpg combined while yielding 49 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway. Though the automaker is ending production of a few of its key car models, thankfully, it’s keeping the Malibu.

4. 2019 Chevy Cruze

The 2019 Cruze comes in fourth place. The diesel sedan version yields 48 mpg on the highway, while the diesel hatchback version yields 45 mpg. By contrast, the base model of the Cruze sedan achieves just 38 mpg on the highway. The base model of the hatch configuration reaches 37 mpg on the highway. Nab a 2019 Cruze for yourself while you can, however, since Chevy has stopped producing this model since March.

5. 2019 Chevy Spark

The 2019 Chevy Spark comes in fifth place. This nimble subcompact car attains 33 combined mpg, including 30 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway. Considering its efficiency, it’s not really surprising that Chevy is keeping this colorful commuter vehicle in its lineup after the 2019 model year.
