You Can Get a 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor for £114,000 in the UK
The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor has already been shipped overseas to China and the Middle East, but if you live in the United Kingdom, your chances of getting one is slim, as Ford currently doesn’t offer a right-hand drive version of its high-performance pickup.
However, one dealership in London has managed to import five 2017 Raptors and has already sold three of them. If you’re hoping to buy one of the remaining two, you should know there’s a big catch, as the dealer is charging a substantial amount for these American-made automobiles.
The UK dealer is asking £78,000 per truck, which converts to approximately $97,370 in US currency. In contrast, the 2017 F-150 Raptor carries a starting MSRP of $48,860 in the States, meaning the UK dealer has marked up its Raptors substantially on the island, but that’s not all.
The dealer is also offering a right-hand drive conversion kit for an extra £36,000, which jacks the total cost up to about £114,000 for the new Raptor. In case you’re wondering, that’s approximately $142,277 in US coin, making it close to the price of the 2017 Acura NSX supercar in the US.
Additionally, for those UK customers who don’t think the Raptor’s 450 horsepower is quite enough, they can also upgrade with a supercharging system offered by the dealer, which ups the output of the engine up to 590 ponies. That supercharging kit costs another £10,800 on the top of the RHD conversion expenses.
Other available upgrades include an active sports exhaust, dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree system, and Ford’s Backup Assist system, as well as 10-way electrically adjustable and heated seats.
Of the two trucks left, consumers with enough cash have the choice between a Shadow Black SuperCrew model and a Lightning Blue SuperCab pickup.
Either truck is sure to make you one of the most noticeable vehicles traveling down Britain’s B roads.
