The all-new 2014 Cadillac XTS

The 2014 Cadillac XTS Sedan amps up success with the new optional 410-horsepower turbocharged V6. Compared to the underwhelming 304-hp V6 engine of last year, the 2014 Cadillac XTS should have no problem powering past the 2013 model. In addition to the extra horsepower, the 2013 Cadillac XTS also offers a self-parking system, electric power steering, and a new dual screen DVD/Blur-ray entertainment system.

At its base, the 2014 Cadillac XTS includes 19-inch wheels, adaptive suspension dampers, xenon headlamps, heated mirrors, rear parking sensors, keyless ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, eight-way power front seats (with power lumbar control), a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and leather/faux-suede upholstery. On the tech side of things, the 2014 Cadillac XTS also includes Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, an 8-inch center touchscreen with Cadillac’s CUE interface, OnStar, voice controls, and an eight-speaker Bose sound system with a CD player, satellite radio, HD radio, iPod/USB connectivity, and an auxiliary input.
For more luxurious options, the 2014 Cadillac XTS Luxury Collection, Premium Collect, and Platinum Collection contain multiple upgrades and conveniences from LED and ambient lighting to an automated parallel-parking system.

2014 Cadillac XTS Sedan Performance

The 2014 Cadillac XTS is very similar to its previous models in terms of power and performance. Standard 2014 Cadillac XTS Sedans have a 304-hp V6 engine which leaves much to be desired in terms of power. However, a 410-hp V6 engine is available as an option for those who desire higher powered luxury sedans.

Fuel economy is a plus for the 2014 Cadillac XTS compared to other powered luxury sedans. It’s estimated at 28 mpg highway on the 304-hp V6, and for those who want more the muscle, the 410-hp V6 offers estimated 24 MPG.

As expected from a luxury Sedan, the Cadillac XTS provides ample room for all passenger accommodations. The XTS is also an innovator for the place of technology in a vehicle. The XTS Sedan comes with the Cadillac User Experience (CUE) .The CUE is an 8-inch touchscreen display that integrates audio, navigation systems, phone, and OnStar similar to a smartphone or tablet. This feature is definitely suave. However, practicality is yet to be determined.

Available safety features for the 2014 Cadillac XTS include blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, vibrating driver seat that alerts the driver to impending collisions on both sides of the vehicle, and rear cross-traffic alerts.
