KBB Names 2017 Nissan LEAF to Best Used EV List
If you’re ready to embrace a greener driving style but don’t want to break the bank, consider a used electric vehicle like the 2017 Nissan LEAF. The popular model recently earned a spot on Kelley Blue Book’s 10 Best Used Hybrids and Electric Cars Under $20,000 list.

EVs have been around in the automotive world for a couple of decades, and in that time have proven to be as trustworthy as their gasoline-powered counterparts. Buying a used model typically means a lower sticker price; a benefit for eco-conscious drivers on a budget.
The 2017 Nissan LEAF garnered praise from the KBB editors for its established dependability and value.
“Driving the LEAF can be a lot of fun, too, as there’s a lot of torque, which makes the Nissan quick off the line,” they wrote.
The 2017 Nissan LEAF earns an EPA-estimated combined rating of 112 MPGe. On a single charge, the 2017 LEAF has a driving range of 107 miles. It takes approximately 30 minutes to achieve an 80 percent charge. The 2017 model featured the 30 kWh battery as standard across trim levels.
The sophisticated exterior is complemented by a well-equipped interior, which features premium materials, ample room, and heated front bucket seats. Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant is standard as are safety systems including the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System and LATCH system. The standard Traction Control System and Vehicle Dynamic Control provide a smooth, controlled driving performance.
J.D. Power also recognized the 2017 Nissan LEAF for its proven dependability. In the 2020 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study, the 2017 Nissan LEAF was the only EV to take home the honor.
