Drivers seeking a full-size SUV with plenty of power, towing ability, and space for passengers should give the 2019 GMC Yukon a look. This big, luxurious family hauler delivers not just size and capability, but also an interior built for comfort and loaded with safety and infotainment technologies.

The 2019 Yukon is available at four trim levels: SLE, SLT Standard Edition, SLT, and Denali. All trims are available with either 2WD or 4WD.

What’s New for the 2019 GMC Yukon?

With an all-new model in the works for 2020, the 2019 Yukon offers just a handful of new options — primarily, a pair of new special editions. The Yukon Graphite Edition contains a Z85 suspension package, 22-inch bright machined wheels, a body-color grille surround, and gloss black accents for the assist steps and roof rail inserts. The Yukon Graphite Performance Edition comes with a 6.2-liter EcoTec V8 engine, a 10-speed automatic transmission, 22-inch six-spoke black wheels, Magnetic Ride Control, a two-speed active transfer case, a trailer brake controller, a head-up display, and navigation.


Performance

Two powertrains are available for the 2019 Yukon. The base option is a 5.3-liter EcoTec V8 that gets 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. On higher trims, customers can select a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 that’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, getting 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

Capabilities and Capacities

When equipped with the available Heavy-Duty Trailering Package, the 2019 Yukon can tow up to 8,500 pounds. Features like an integrated brake controller, Hill Start Assist, and Trailer Sway Control offer extra confidence for big loads. Inside, the Yukon can accommodate seven, eight, or nine passengers depending on which seating option is chosen. Available third-row power fold-flat seats and second-row power-release fold-and-tumble seats make it easy to access the Yukon’s 94.7 cubic feet of total cargo space.


Interior Features

The 2019 Yukon comes standard with features like tri-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, premium cloth seating, and built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi. The 8-inch GMC Infotainment System offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, Bluetooth streaming audio, voice-activated phone tech, and Bose premium audio.


Safety Tech

The 2019 Yukon offers several levels of safety tech to keep passengers secure. Standard features include Front and Rear Park Assist, a rearview camera, Rainsense automatic wipers, and OnStar safety services. A variety of upgrades are available, too, like IntelliBeam, Forward Collision Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
