Its anticipated debut is finally here: the 2019 Subaru Ascent. The three-row SUV is finally rolling into showrooms, and there are dozens of things to love about this new Subaru.

What’s New for the 2019 Subaru Ascent?

It’s a simple question with a longer answer: what’s new for the 2019 Subaru Ascent? Well, in short, everything. An entirely new model to the Subaru lineup, the 2019 Ascent is a three-row SUV packed with features for the entire family. You can choose between seven- and eight-passenger configurations, enjoy state-of-the-art infotainment, and have peace of mind behind the wheel with driver-assist technologies and a suite of protective safety features.

The 2019 Subaru Ascent is available in four trims: Ascent, Premium, Limited, and Touring.

2019 Subaru Ascent Exterior

The Subaru Ascent has a lot of character to its look, with deep character lines adding a contoured look to its frame and 18-inch silver aluminum-alloy wheels giving it some extra flair. You can transport some extra cargo with the Ascent’s raised roof rails, and a power rear gate with memory function on the Limited makes loading up the car even easier.

2019 Subaru Ascent Performance

At all trim levels, the 2019 Subaru Ascent comes with a 2.4-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine. The engine can is paired to a Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), giving off a hefty 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. In addition to its engine capabilities, the 2019 Ascent also comes with Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive across the board.

2019 Subaru Ascent Efficiency

As a three-row SUV, the Subaru Ascent’s efficiency ratings can’t compete with sedans on the market — especially those with hybrid technologies. However, for its segment, the Ascent holds its ground. The Ascent earns an estimated 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. Its efficiency drops slightly on the Limited and Touring trims, rated at 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

Every member of your family will be able to find entertainment and comfort inside the cabin of the 2019 Subaru Ascent. A tri-zone climate control system with air vents in all three rows regulates the temperature through the cabin. The Limited’s leather-trimmed upholstery also adds extra style to the interior. Technology is dispersed throughout the cabin with available features such as USB ports in all three rows, top-quality audio, and driver-assist features like Blind Spot Detection.
