The Solterra represents Subaru’s dedicated electric SUV offering and continues into 2027 with the improvements unveiled a year earlier, including increased range, higher performance, updated charging technology, and revised styling. The vehicle will again be offered in four trim levels spanning from the entry-level Premium to the range-topping Touring XT.

All versions of the 2027 Solterra benefit from the upgrades introduced during the model’s recent overhaul, while Subaru has opted to keep pricing stable across the lineup’s base model.

Up to 288 Miles of Range and Access to Tesla Superchargers

Every 2027 Solterra is equipped with a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. Subaru estimates a maximum driving range of up to 288 miles, an increase from the 227 miles offered by the 2025 Solterra.

The SUV shares its platform with the updated Toyota bZ and now comes standard with a built-in North American Charging Standard (NACS) port. According to Subaru, this gives drivers access to more than 25,000 Tesla Superchargers across North America.

The manufacturer has also integrated a battery preconditioning system intended to improve charging performance in both hot and cold weather conditions. Subaru states that the Solterra can recharge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes using DC fast charging.

Two Power Levels Offered Across Four Trims

The 2027 Solterra will continue to be offered in four trim levels: Premium, Limited, Limited XT, and Touring XT.

Premium and Limited versions feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 233 horsepower. The Limited XT and Touring XT models are equipped with an upgraded version of Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, delivering a combined 338 horsepower and 323 lb-ft of torque. According to Subaru, this configuration allows the XT variants to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately five seconds while also providing 8.3 inches of ground clearance.

Subaru has confirmed a starting price of $38,495 for the Solterra Premium. The Limited trim is priced at $41,395, while the Limited XT starts at $42,895. At the top of the range, the Touring XT carries a starting MSRP of $45,855.

Technology-Focused Cabin and Expanded Equipment

A 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard across the entire range, with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Subaru has also equipped the Solterra with its EyeSight driver-assistance suite. As reported by Electrek, the package includes Emergency Steering Assist, Collision Avoidance Assist with Automatic Steering, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System, Pre-Collision Braking, Lane Departure Alert and Prevention, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Emergency Stop Assist.

Moving up to the Limited and Limited XT trims adds 20-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, automatic parking assist, a Multi-Terrain Monitor, and a 120-volt outlet.

The Touring XT sits at the top of the range and includes a panoramic glass roof with motorized sunshades, ventilated front seats, radiant leg heaters for the driver and front passenger, and a digital rearview mirror with a camera washer.

Subaru will offer the 2027 Solterra in six exterior colors: Harbor Mist Gray Pearl, Elemental Red Pearl, Cosmic White Pearl, Astro Black Mica, Smoked Carbon, and Midnight Tide Mica. The model is scheduled to begin arriving at dealerships this fall.
