What’s new for the 2020 Buick Envision?
As mentioned already, only minor changes have been made to the 2020 Envision. Two new colors have been added — Espresso Metallic and Dark Moon Blue Metallic. However, those new additions come at a cost, as Galaxy Silver Metallic and Bronze Alloy Metallic will no longer be available.
Exterior
On the base trim, the 2020 Envision is equipped with LED headlamps and taillamps, HID projector beam headlights, fog lamps, and a hands-free power liftgate. Moving up to the Essence trim adds chrome roof-mounted side rails while the Premium trim comes with standard Bi-LED headlamps, Rainsense automatic wipers, and larger 19-inch aluminum wheels. Visibility is at its peak on the top-of-the-line 2020 Envision Premium II trim, which is equipped with IntelliBeam headlamps.
Interior
Comfort is a top priority of every Buick vehicle, and the 2020 Envision is certainly no exception. Eight-way power-adjustable heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, Active Noise Cancellation, and ambient lighting are all standard on the Envision 1SV trim. The rear seats are heated on the Essence trim, which also comes with perforated leather-appointed seats and tri-zone automatic climate control. Ultimate comfort is present on the Premium II trim in the form of both heated and cooled front seats as well as manual thigh support for the driver.
Technology on the 2020 Buick Envision includes a standard six-speaker audio system, an 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen, a built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, QuietTuning technology, and SiriusXM Radio. Music lovers will appreciate the Bose premium seven-speaker audio system on the Premium trim while non-stop smartphone users can enjoy wireless charging on the 2020 Envision Premium II.
Performance and Efficiency
The 2020 Buick Envision 1SV, Preferred, and Essence trims all feature the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed automatic with Driver Shift Control. This powertrain can achieve 197 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. However, more power can be had with the Premium and Premium II trims, which have a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine mated to a nine-speed automatic with Driver Shift Control, capable of getting 252 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
That turbo engine sets fuel efficiency at 20 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway, and 22 mpg combined. But the smaller 2.0-liter engine is capable of getting 22 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and 25 mpg combined. Fuel economy dips only slightly for the all-wheel drive models equipped with the 2.0-liter engine.

The Essence trim adds helpful features like Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. However, the Premium and Premium II trims come with the most security, equipped with Forward Collision Alert, Front and Rear Park Assist, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and Safety Alert Seat.
