Grenada Lake Loop
As its name implies, the Grenada Lake Loop provides a 50-mile circular tour of the lake as well as a few other attractions to keep the drive engaging. The route provides quite a few scenic overlooks where you can get out and enjoy the view while taking some pictures to commemorate your excursion. You can also conquer the trails at Carver Point State Park and Hugh White State Park if you’re feeling adventurous. Make sure to stop by Grenada’s historic truss bridge that spans the Yalobusha River, which was once a part of the Illinois Central Railroad.
MS-13 and MS-43 are the main routes you’ll take on this 33-mile drive that connects Monticello with Columbia. The Red Bluffs overlook is the highlight of the trip. Often dubbed the “Little Grand Canyon,” it provides hiking trails so you can explore the diverse landscape on foot. If you follow the stream, the path curves through a forest and takes you across a railroad before it ends at Pearl River, a popular swimming spot.

Beach Boulevard
The 30-mile-long Beach Boulevard should satisfy your inner beach bum. Take US-90 from Waveland to Biloxi to soak in stunning vistas of the Gulf of Mexico. Many of the cities along the route offer deep-sea charters if you want to take your fishing skills to the next level. You can also take an eco-tour of the marshlands to see the local flora and fauna up close when you stop at Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.
