Take Your Encore on an Adventure: Saving money on a road trip
What’s new
For the 2020 model year, the Buick Encore has remained largely unchanged. However, it no longer offers the 1.4-liter SIDI Turbo engine with Start-Stop Technology, which was only available as an option on range-topping Essence encore models. Its other traits, including styling and pricing, have remained consistent.
The Encore masterfully blends safety and style. Its standard Signature LED Daytime Running Lamps and heated power outside mirrors boost your visibility, while the available integrated turn signals offer an eye-catching, sporty touch. Show off the Encore’s athletic side with its standard roof-mounted side rails and available roof rack cross rails, which make it easy to transport outdoor adventure gear, like canoes, skis, and mountain bikes. Express your style with four available wheel designs and an optional power moonroof. You can also stay safe and boost your visibility with the available fog lamps and Rainsense automatic wipers.

Powertrain and efficiency
Across the lineup, the Buick Encore comes standard with the 1.4-liter DOHC turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It pumps out 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. If you stick with its standard front-wheel-drive arrangement, the Encore will earn 30 mpg on the highway, while all-wheel-drive variants will clock in at 29 mpg highway. For more convenience, opt for the oil pan heater, which helps the Encore start up quickly when winter weather arrives.
