The HRC Foundation uses a survey to score companies for the index, and it includes questions about whether there are equal opportunities for all employees, no matter their sexual orientation of gender identity. HRC also looks for training in the company to encourage sensitivity and equal treatment for all. According to Nissan, it also has the most diverse customer base in automotive manufacturing. It also offers the Gay Straight Alliance at Nissan (GSAN) to make sure that the LGBTQ community is involved in all aspects of daily life at Nissan. We congratulate Nissan on its efforts, and also encourage them to continue on the road ahead.
