The Cherokee is one of Jeep’s key vehicles, and the Trailhawk variant is intended to serve as the rugged offering within the lineup. While Jeep has only shared a single image so far, it provides an early look at some of the design changes planned for the model.
The teaser focuses on the front headlight and bumper area. Although much of the vehicle remains hidden, the image suggests a more aggressive appearance than the standard version currently on sale.
A Redesigned Front End and Visible Off-Road Cues
The teaser image shows a headlight design that appears unchanged, positioned above a redesigned front bumper. The front fascia adopts a more aggressive look, with a red tow hook clearly visible through the bumper opening.
The previous Cherokee Trailhawk featured two front tow hooks and one rear tow hook. If Jeep follows the same formula for the new version, the SUV should also receive an increased ride height, improved approach and departure angles, and protective skid plates designed for off-road use. Jeep has not released additional exterior images at this stage.

Earlier Preview Offered Clues About the Trailhawk Package
Jeep previously previewed the Cherokee Trailhawk during the Easter Jeep Safari event alongside the Cherokee Upland.
As reported by Motor1, the vehicle displayed at the event featured an upgraded suspension system and a revised front-end design that appears identical to the one shown in the latest teaser. The SUV was also equipped with 18-inch wheels wrapped in 31.5-inch Falken Wildpeak A/T tires.
Those details provided an early indication of the type of hardware Jeep intends to offer on the Trailhawk version, although the company has not yet published a complete specification list.

Powertrain Details Remain Unknown
One of the main unanswered questions concerns the powertrain. Jeep has not confirmed whether the Cherokee Trailhawk will receive any mechanical upgrades compared with the standard Cherokee.
The Cherokee is currently offered with a single powertrain: a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine paired with a continuously variable transmission. The system produces 210 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque and is equipped with the Jeep Active Drive I 4×4 system.
The previous Cherokee Trailhawk used the Jeep Active Drive Lock 4×4 system, the same setup that continues to be used in the 2026 Compass Trailhawk. Jeep has stated that additional information about the Cherokee Trailhawk will be released at a later date.
