Through the BMW Smart Charging App, BMW i owners will be able to automate their charging strategy days or even weeks ahead of time. They’ll also have access to energy rates, optimal charging times, and charging cost transparency via a national energy rate database hosted by BMW’s software company partner, Genability.
By linking the BMW ConnectedDrive interface through the i Remote App, owners will be able to precondition the interior temperature of their BMW i3, see vehicle status information, view actual charging times and costs, and remotely adjust charging settings.
