In case you missed it, U.S. Women’s National Soccer players Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger got married last month in Miami. Dubbed “The Royal Wedding” by Krieger’s brother Kyle, the pair had quite the magical event — with a star-studded guest list to boot. While I’m sure superstar teammates Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe gave the newlywed couple some great gifts, BMW might’ve topped both of their gifts combined.

In an Instagram post on Jan. 17, Harris thanked BMW for the wedding gift — a brand-new, black 2020 BMW X7 M50i. The X7 is the newest SAV from BMW, having debuted online in October 2018 and going on sale in March of last year. The X7 is the largest vehicle from BMW and the model Harris received has a starting MSRP of $99,600. [Don’t mind me, I’m just picking my jaw up from the floor.]

BMW partnerships for all

This isn’t the first time Ashlyn Harris has posed with a shiny BMW on her Insta. The keeper first posed inside a white BMW 4 Series in June 2018, not long after the USWNT had won the SheBelieves Cup in March, and she posted again with a BMW in December of the same year.

Harris isn’t the only USWNT player with a BMW partnership. Star forward Christen Press sat inside a BMW sedan on her Insta in October last year while young up-and-comer Mallory Pugh was also posing in front of what looked to be a white 4 Series last July.

It’s no surprise that the players are cashing in on their success following another incredible World Cup win. The team has consistently fought to achieve equal pay as their male counterparts, who haven’t won a World Cup or have even made it past the quarter-finals.
