Buick Enclave Gains Ground During the First Quarter of the Year
Buick Enclave sales grew by 27.5 percent during the year's first quarter, while Buick's overall sales fell by 8.7 percent
For quite some time now, the Encore has been the standout model of the Buick lineup. Still, the most recent sales results from Buick suggest that the Enclave might just be catching up.
After all, Buick Enclave sales were up by 27.5 percent during the first quarter of the year.
New Buicks to Choose From: The Buick Model Lineup
Buick delivered a total of 12,580 Enclave models during the first three months of the year. During the first quarter of 2018, Buick only sold 9,869 Enclave vehicles.
Still, the Encore remains Buick’s best-seller. Buick Encore sales totaled 24,606 vehicles during the first quarter of 2019.
However, that’s a sales decrease compared to the Buick Encore’s standings at the end of the first quarter of 2018. During that time period, Buick sold 25,468 Encore vehicles. The good news for Buick is that is only a slight 3.4 percent sales decline.
Buick’s other SUV, the Envision, faced far more significant sales declines. Buick sold 7,623 Buick Envision models last quarter, which, when compared to the 9,696 Envision vehicles it sold during the first quarter of 2018, represents a 21.4 percent sales decline.
Finally, several Buick models that are on the way out lost sales during the first quarter. Cascada sales fell by 18.7 percent, while LaCrosse sales fell 58.9 percent, with 2,902 LaCrosse models sold.
Buick Benefits: Why buy Buick
By the end of the first quarter, Buick delivered a total of 51,867 vehicles, an overall sales loss of 8.7 percent. Yet, this sales decline is to be somewhat expected as Buick looks to consolidate its lineup to maximize profits.
