Buick Encore GX Gets Exclusive Design Updates with Sport Touring Package

The Encore GX offers drivers one more choice of premium SUV from the Buick lineup. The well-equipped Encore GX delivers all the tech, safety features and amenities SUV fans want in a compact size. Now with the optional Sport Touring Package, the Buick Encore GX’s design gets exclusive.

- Exclusive wheels
- Body-color surrounds
- Signature mesh grille in black
- Red accents on rear and front bumpers
“Filling the spot between the smaller Encore and the larger Envision and Enclave models, the Encore GX is another proof point that Buick is The Premium SUV Brand. Just as we did with the Enclave in 2008 and the Encore in 2013, we identified a growing market niche and moved quickly to introduce a new vehicle to fill it,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president, Global Buick and GMC.
A suite of six driver assist technologies comes standard on the Buick Encore GX. The innovative systems are Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, IntelliBeam headlamps with automatically-adjusting high/low beams, Following Distance Indicator, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and Front Pedestrian Braking.
For even more driving confidence, drivers can opt for additional technologies such as Automatic Parking Assist with Braking, Rear Park Assist, High Definition Surround Vision camera system, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert.
Smartphone integration is simple with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the Buick Encore GX, which will also offer Bluetooth pairing and available wireless charging.
Drivers have a choice of two engines — a standard 1.2-liter turbo or available 1.3-liter turbo engine.
Early 2020 will see the Buick Encore GX in dealerships.
