Cadillac Announces Winners of Make Your Mark Short Film Contest
Cadillac has announced that Tim Wen and Chidi Onyejuruwa and the short film that they co-produced, “Symphony of Senses,” have prevailed in the Make Your Mark short film competition. As a result, the film will be featured in a 30-second ad that will air later this month during the Oscars on ABC.
Famed producer Bruce Cohen (American Beauty, Milk, Silver Linings Playbook) worked with Wen and Onyejuruwa on the film, which was plucked from a field of 10 semifinalists and three finalists to win the privilege of airing during the Oscars.
“It’s been an amazing ride! I’m truly grateful to my team and producing partner for helping bring this idea to life,” said Onyejuruwa. “With all the challenges we had, it’s very satisfying to know that in the end our work was able to touch so many people in the way it did.”
Impressively, the panelists for the Producers Guild of America (PGA) who ultimately determined the winner of Make Your Mark include Kathy Bates, Danny DeVito, and Michael Douglas among others.
“As a young filmmaker, we rarely get to work with a leading luxury car brand like Cadillac and have an Academy Award-winning PGA mentor like Bruce Cohen supporting us,” said Wen. “On top of that, producing a film that the celebrity judges selected as the winner? I couldn’t be more honored!”
