When you picture someone who’s helped sell $300,000 worth of cars, you’re probably imagining someone a little older than Canadian middle schooler Cole Ross.

Even though he can’t legally drive yet, Ross is passionate about Nissan vehicles. That’s why the president of Nissan Canada has recognized the young gearhead as one of the brand’s most dedicated ambassadors.

According to grown-ups that know him, Ross is more knowledgeable about Nissan models than some salespeople. His father says that Ross has favored Nissan models for as long as he’s known about cars. Best of all, he’s not shy about sharing his excitement for Nissan with anyone who’s curious.

But when it comes to making a sale, Ross simmers down his passion aside and focuses on the facts. “I just tell them what the car has,” he explained.

That sales pitch worked for Chandra MacDonald, who purchased a vehicle from Ross. “He’s definitely a natural. I’m his latest sale. Just five days ago.”

Those efforts were rewarded one weekday afternoon when he was greeted by his family and friends, as well as the many people he’s helped put behind the wheel of a Nissan car. At the celebration, Ross was presented with a framed and signed letter from Nissan Canada president Steve Milette.

“As soon as you see a car, the look is what draws you in,” Ross explained. “I want to be the one to draw attention to the car.”

All of this encouragement is understandably thrilling for Ross. He aspires to one day become a designer for Nissan. And he already seems to have an intuitive understanding of what car design is all about.
