Minivans are capable, versatile, comfortable and family-friendly vehicles designed to transport you and your whole crew to and from activities, school, work and the epic family road trip. Since you want your minivan to go the distance, you’ll no doubt want a minivan that delivers substantial gas mileage. According to U.S. News and World Report, two Chrysler models — the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and its Pacifica Hybrid sibling — are two of the options worthy of a spot on its roundup of “Which Minivans Get the Best Mileage in 2018?”

The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and its hybrid option were praised for its fashionable, well-appointed interior, responsive entertainment system, and luxury-like features found more commonly in higher priced SUVs or cars in addition to its outstanding fuel economy.

“Even better is the fact that the Pacifica doesn’t sacrifice fuel economy while delivering this upscale driving experience. The 287-horsepower V6 delivers power to the front wheels and returns an impressive 19 mpg in city driving and 28 mpg on the highway,” reports U.S. News & World Report writer Nick Kurczewski about the 2019 Pacifica.

Even though the 2019 Pacifica earns remarkable gas mileage, the hybrid model takes that efficiency even further.

“The Pacifica Hybrid has an electric-only driving range of 33 miles. Once this is depleted, the Pacifica’s combined city/highway fuel economy is still an impressive 32 mpg. What’s more, the 3.6-liter V6 engine and two electric motors provide 260 horsepower,” writes Kurczewski. “While the entry price isn’t cheap, the Pacifica Hybrid is a truly luxurious minivan that has a hybrid’s modest appetite for fuel.”
