Chrysler on “Road to Greatness” with 2013 Chrysler Town & Country

Just in time for the 2013 World Series, Chrysler is running a new commercial called “Road to Greatness.” The commercial shows images of Miguel Cabrera, the Detroit Tigers third baseman and arguably the most feared bat in the Major Leagues currently, practicing his craft and mixes in images of the Chrysler 300 Town & Country. The comparison is clear: Chrysler takes as much pride—and fields as great a product—in their vehicles as the impressive Miguel Cabrera does in his game.

“Whether you’re working to become the world’s greatest player,” a voiceover intones at the end of the commercial, “or working to make the world’s greatest cars, to us, that’s the only road worth taking.” Olivier Francois, Chrysler’s Chief Marketing Officer, explained Chrysler’s angle with the commercial. “In the new advertising, Cabrera reminds viewers that even if you’re heralded as the best pure hitter of your generation, you can never be complacent in your pursuit of perfection,” said Francois.

Chrysler, of course, is never complacent. The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country comes with 25 mpg highway, seats seven comfortably, and pushes out 283 horsepower with its V6 3.6L engine. With Chrysler on “Road to Greatness” with Cabrera, why not get yourself on that road with the Town & Country?
