Chrysler Supports “Cars 4 Classrooms” Project
The all-new Chrysler Pacifica and the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid are going back to school. The Chrysler brand has signed up to be a supporter of the “Cars 4 Classrooms” Program, a fundraising effort run by the National PTA, of which Chrysler is now a sponsor.
“Through the Chrysler brand’s ‘Cars 4 Classrooms’ initiative, PTAs and schools have the opportunity to set up test drive fundraising events featuring the Chrysler Pacifica and Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans. The brand will donate $10 to the school for every participant who takes a brief test drive. PTAs can go to cars4classrooms.com, beginning today [Sept. 18, 2017], to learn more about hosting an event. Participating Chrysler franchised dealerships will work with PTAs, providing the Chrysler Pacifica minivans for the events,” reports Chrysler.
According to PTA.org, the National Parent Teacher Association (National PTA®) was started by Phoebe Apperson Hearst and Alice McLellan Birney, who called the organization the National Congress of Mothers in 1897. The nonprofit continues to be “a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education.”
The nonprofit’s long legacy of fostering and supporting children’s education has resulted in huge strides in establishing and calling for legislation in areas including: the “creation of Kindergarten classes, child labor laws, public health service, hot and healthy lunch programs, Juvenile justice system, mandatory immunization, Arts in Education, and school safety,” according to PTA.org.
Chrysler is excited to add its innovative minivans in support of such a worthy endeavor; the all-new Chrysler Pacifica has been deemed the “Highest Ranked Minivan in Initial Quality” by J.D. Power and features “more than 100 available safety and security features,” and the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is “America’s first hybrid minivan and achieves 84 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) in electric-only mode and 33 miles of all-electric range, with a total range of 566 miles,” according to Chrysler.
Chrysler also plans to be an active supporter of the National PTA’s Take Your Family to School Week, which is set for Feb. 11-17, 2018.
