Civic Type R Prototype to Headline Honda’s “Civicpalooza” Showcase at SEMA
Fresh off of its world premiere in Paris, Honda will be bringing the new Civic Type R prototype to the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas next week. The hot hatch concept will be making its North American debut at the annual aftermarket trade show, alongside a whole bunch of other Hondas.
The new Civic Type R prototype will be the headliner of what Honda is calling “Civicpalooza,” a display featuring nine tuned, accessorized, and custom-built Civic sedans, coupes, and hatchbacks.
In addition to the Type R, Civicpalooza will showcase the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe GRC Competitive Race Car that recently competed in the 2016 Global Rallycross season finale, and the 2017 Honda Civic Coupe Racing Concept that’s set to make its race debut at the USAF 25 Hours of Thunderhill event in December.

Other specialty Civics on display will include the 2017 Honda Performance Development Civic Body-In-White/Performance Race Parts, the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback/Honda Factory Performance (HFP) concept, the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe aLL STaR Performance/ Tjin Edition, the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe/MAD Industries, and the recrafted Civic X Concept on display at the Meguiar’s booth.
Honda’s rounding out the “Civicpalooza” lineup with its video game-themed SEGA Sonic Civic—which makes sense, since “gotta go fast” is pretty much the unofficial motto of SEMA.
Honda Accessories: Honda camping accessories that help you enjoy the great outdoors
Though it’s overall a Civic-heavy portfolio, Honda will also be showing off its all-new 2017 Ridgeline pickup at this year’s SEMA Show, beginning with a Ridgeline outfitted with Honda Genuine Accessories. There will also be three other Ridgeline project vehicles built by MAD Industries, Tjin Edition, and Fox Marketing.
Honda will also be displaying the IndyCar that Alexander Rossi drove to victory at this year’s 100th running of the Indianapolis 500. Other offerings from Honda Powersports and Honda Performance Development will include the 2017 Honda Grom and expertly tuned versions of the CRF250R, CB500F, CB500S, CBR1000RR SP, CBR600RR Race Bike, and more.

He just watches the original series, though, none of the spin-offs. And also only the ones they made before Jerry Orbach died. Season five was really the peak, in his opinion.
