FCA’s April Sales Continue Trend of Increases
March was a landmark month for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), as the brand saw its 60th consistent month (total of five years) of year-over-year sales increases. Judging by FCA’s April sales this year, the company is off to a good start to accomplishing a sixth year of increases already.
According to FCA’s April sales report, the company saw a 6% increase over April of last year in the United States. Specifically, Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram all saw increases compared to April of 2014; the largest increase of those three was Chrysler, which experienced 26% sales growth in April 2015 over last year.
Nine models in total from the FCA lineup set records last month. Among them were the Dodge Challenger (best month ever, up 32% over last year) and Jeep Cherokee (also best month ever, up 27%). The remaining seven set their best Aprils ever: Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Patriot, Chrysler 200, Dodge Journey, Dodge Dart, Ram pickup, and Ram ProMaster.
“We launched the spring selling season with nine vehicle sales records and a 6 percent year-over-year increase that extends our sales streak to 61-consecutive months of sales gains,” remarked Reid Bigland, in charge of US sales. “Our all-new Jeep Renegade small SUV is off to an exceptional start with more than 4,200 units sold in its first full month in the market helping to propel our Jeep brand to its best monthly sales ever.”
