The built-in FordPass Connect modem and Wi-Fi hotspot is Ford’s way of appealing to the aforementioned digital nomad — an ever-growing segment of people who live and work on the go. With FordPass Connect, these nomads can connect up to 10 devices to high-speed internet and stay connected at up to 50 feet away from the camper. This, Ford says, helps alleviate the problem of FOMO — the fear of missing out.
Ford did more than just make the new Transit Custom Nugget Camper a smarter choice for folks who want to stay connected. It boasts an upgraded 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine that improves fuel economy up to 7 percent and driver-assist technologies such as Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Aid, and Blind Spot Information System with Trailer Tow.
With all of these improvements, the new Ford Transit Custom Nugget launches in new markets such as Austria, Switzerland, and the UK. With any luck, Ford will bring this nugget over to the states so we can grab some fun nuggets, too.
