The reviews are pouring in, and folks are roundly quite impressed with the all-new three-row Lincoln Aviator. You can count Jeremy Sinek of The Globe and Mail among those snowed by the latest from Lincoln after getting some hands-on experience.

Sinek scored the Aviator an 8 out of 10, calling it “a compelling package overall” and complimenting it by saying that it’s “cheaper (and safer) than a helicopter.” That’s some front box cover blurbage if there ever was any. Reason for the helicopter line being that Sinek and the other journos were offered helicopter rides from the test site out to the airport — in part to make a cute comment about time being the ultimate luxury and in another to make the connection to its Quiet Flight ethos.

Despite his review appearing in the popular Canadian outlet, Sinek tried out the Aviator in California as part of a media drive. He found that it handled capably on winding, bumpy roads and noted that the Grand Touring was quicker off the line and quiet on the inside when set to Pure EV mode. Among aspects of the Aviator Sinek praised are its sleek exterior, second-row comfort, cargo space behind the third row, and 28-speaker Revel Ultima 3D audio system.

The 2020 Lincoln Aviator began arriving across Canada in July, where it is currently only offered in the Reserve trim with standard Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. Sinek notes in his review that Lincoln plans to launch a no-frills version of the Reserve with a C$69,000 starting price, putting it comfortably below the current Reserve.

The Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring, which will offer an incredible 494 combined horsepower and best-in-class 630 lb-ft of combined torque, is expected to arrive soon with a starting price of C$81,000 and a max price of C$96,250 with all the fixings.
