The GMC Acadia, sporting a refreshed design and tech upgrades for the 2020 model year, will be making its way south of the U.S. border to dealerships in Mexico starting next month. Canadian and U.S. dealerships have already welcomed the CUV into their inventories.

Acadia is one of GMC’s preferred vehicles, because it offers a perfect mix of luxury and sporty characteristics, with the space to meet the needs of families,” said Marketing Manager for Buick, GMC and Cadillac Mexico, Yammil Guaida, in a statement that was translated by GM Authority from Spanish. “The refresh of Acadia will attract the attention of our customers for being a more capable vehicle with unique attributes,” he added.

Design updates include new front and rear fascias and a new bold grille. The C-shaped lighting, a hallmark of GMC design, will be highlighted in the Acadia’s new front and rear lights.

Drivers in Mexico will have a new trim option of the 2020 GMC Acadia to consider — the off-roading-ready AT4 — in addition to the top-of-the-line Denali trim. Both trims are grounded by 20-inch wheels and come equipped with standard roof rails.

“Inside, both feature a redesigned center console, a new GMC infotainment system with an eight-inch touch screen, plus

OnStar 4G LTE-based Wi-Fi,” reports GM Authority writer Deivis Centeno. “The AT4 model has unique Kalahari details, while the Denali version adds GM’s innovative Rear Camera Mirror and surround-view camera technologies.”
