GMC sales were up 18% in October with a total of 45,478 vehicles being delivered throughout the United States. Retail sales totaled 39,662 units, up 12.8% and notching the brand’s 21st consecutive month of retail sales growth in America. To date, GMC’s overall sales total 455,717 units, up 12.5%, while retail sales are up 12.6% with 392,935 vehicles sold.

“This sustained growth in sales and our 44-percent conquest rate tell us the precision-crafted elements of our crossovers, trucks and SUVs are connecting with discerning customers seeking refinement and capability,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president, Buick and GMC Sales, Service and Marketing. “I expect our new introductions [the new and improved 2016 Sierra, 2016 Terrain, and the Duramax diesel-powered 2016 Canyon] will continue the great success we’re experiencing at GMC.”
The GMC Sierra was the brand’s volume leader in October with 18,521 units sold, flat from the prior year’s October total. Sales of the Terrain were up a whopping 46.8% with 9,987 units delivered, and the Acadia was up 8.8% with 6,928 units delivered. Sales of the Canyon were strong at 2,415 units delivered, and the Yukon and Yukon XL were both up with totals of 3,525 deliveries and 2,722 deliveries, respectively. How good was GMC’s October? Even the Savana posted a 36.2% sales increase.
