The announcement comes as the group increases its investment in the United States, where it plans to allocate $26 billion to support product development and expansion. Hyundai alone will introduce 36 models, while Genesis will add 22 vehicles over the same period.
This product offensive aims to cover nearly every segment, from passenger cars to trucks and commercial vehicles, while also expanding electrification and performance offerings.
Hyundai Prepares a Wide-Ranging Product Expansion
Hyundai will launch 36 new or updated models in North America by 2030, targeting a broad mix of vehicle types and customer needs. According to Motor1, the lineup will include passenger cars, SUVs, trucks, and commercial vehicles, along with additional trim levels such as the performance-oriented N variants and the rugged XRT versions.
The company is also diversifying its powertrain strategy. The upcoming models will include gasoline, hybrid, and fully electric vehicles, alongside range-extending electric vehicles that use a combustion engine to generate electricity and recharge the battery.
In a letter to shareholders, CEO José Muñoz confirmed that next-generation versions of the Elantra and Tucson will debut in South Korea this year, with a U.S. arrival expected as early as 2027.

Genesis Expands Luxury Ambitions with 22 New Models
Genesis is set to introduce 22 models within the same timeframe, continuing its push into the premium segment. The brand plans to balance SUVs and passenger cars while expanding its range with new derivatives, additional trim levels, and next-generation powertrains.

Several recent concept vehicles hint at what could be coming. The X Gran Equator concept could emerge as a competitor to the Mercedes G-Class, while the G90 Wingback has been suggested as a potential addition above the G70 Shooting Brake, which is not currently sold in the United States.
The performance-focused Magma lineup will also play a role in Genesis’ expansion. A production version of the GT concept is expected to serve as a flagship supercar. At the same time, reports mentioned by Motor1 suggest the G70 sedan may receive a second facelift, though this has not been officially confirmed.

Trucks, Concepts, and a Major U.S. Investment Strategy
Hyundai Motor Group’s plan includes entering new segments, notably with a body-on-frame midsize pickup scheduled for launch in 2029 under the Hyundai brand. A truck-based SUV is also likely part of the pipeline, following the presentation of the Boulder concept at the 2026 New York Auto Show.
Whether Genesis will adopt similar body-on-frame vehicles remains uncertain, though the X Gran Equator concept suggests the possibility of a luxury off-road model. Motor1 also points to other experimental designs, including the X Scorpio all-terrain supercar concept, as indicators of the brand’s broader ambitions.

The scale of the initiative is supported by a $26 billion investment in the United States, aimed at reinforcing both production and product development. With 58 models planned across Hyundai and Genesis, the group is positioning itself to compete aggressively across multiple segments in the coming years.
