Infiniti Launches in Vietnam with First Infiniti Center
Infiniti has announced the introduction of their brand and product lineup into the Vietnamese market. The move to expand into Vietnam was kicked off with the grand opening of the first Infiniti Center showroom in Ho Chi Minh City, where the QX80 SUV and QX70 crossover were presented as the brand’s initial forays into capturing Vietnamese car buyers’ hearts.
The Ho Chi Minh City Infiniti Center keeps with the Infiniti Retail Environment Design Initiative (IREDI) design initiative, which ensures that customers on different continents will nonetheless share similar shopping experiences and the utmost level of comfort.
Infiniti enters Vietnam as the next stage in its plan to become a global luxury brand. Through the first six months of the year, Infiniti enjoyed a global sales record for a half with more than 100,000 vehicles delivered around the globe, marking a 30 percent year-over-year increase.
In addition to growing the number of markets in which it sells its vehicles, Infiniti plans to expand their lineup “by 60 percent” and double the number of engines and transmissions manufactured within the next five years.
Production in China will begin later this year, and Infiniti will bring production of the Q30 to the UK in 2015. Plans also call for production to being in Mexico by 2017.
