The launch is significant because full-size pickups have traditionally remained niche vehicles in Europe, where smaller pickups and compact utility models dominate the market. Ford is not adapting the F-150 for Europe through downsizing or electrification, instead retaining the same core characteristics associated with the truck in the United States.

The F-150 XLT will start at approximately €76,500, or about $88,905 at current exchange rates. Hedin US Motor will oversee sales in select European countries. While imported American pickups already exist in Europe through specialist channels, this launch gives the F-150 an official distribution route with factory-backed availability.

Ford Keeps the F-150’s Traditional V8 Configuration

Rather than introducing a smaller engine for Europe, Ford equips the truck with its established 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine. According to Motor1, the unit produces 406 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard.

The truck also comes with four-wheel drive across the lineup. Towing remains one of the vehicle’s key selling points, with the F-150 capable of pulling up to 7,700 pounds. The report notes that this places the pickup in a category suited for large travel trailers, boat trailers, and car haulers.

Ford also retains the pickup’s full-size cargo bed, which the article describes as offering fewer practical limitations than many smaller European pickups. The bed is intended to accommodate equipment, bicycles, or construction supplies without difficulty.

Visually, the XLT version maintains the styling associated with the American-market F-150. Chrome exterior elements, squared-off proportions, and a large front fascia remain part of the design. The truck measures more than 19 feet in length, making it substantially larger than most passenger vehicles commonly seen on European roads.

Interior Equipment Focuses on Practicality and Technology

Inside, the F-150 combines digital displays with traditional physical controls. The dashboard includes a large touchscreen alongside physical buttons used for climate functions, audio adjustments, and drive modes. This layout is intended to simplify everyday operation.

The XLT trim includes heated and power-adjustable seats as standard equipment. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are also integrated into the infotainment system.

Driver-assistance technologies form a major part of the package. The truck includes a 360-degree camera system, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist. In a vehicle of this size, these systems take on added relevance for maneuvering and visibility.

The SuperCrew cab configuration provides rear-seat space that, according to the report, feels closer to a large SUV than a conventional work truck. Storage is another emphasis inside the cabin, particularly through the large center console located between the front seats.

Updated Features and Positioning Within Ford’s Lineup

The European-market F-150 also benefits from recent technical updates. These include revised LED lighting, refreshed infotainment software, and additional connectivity functions designed to keep the truck current within Ford’s broader lineup.

Different drive modes are available for on-road driving, towing, and light off-road use. The vehicle is presented not as a hardcore off-roader, but as a work-oriented truck with added comfort and versatility for daily use.

The XLT is positioned as the most accessible entry point into the F-150 range for many buyers. Imported U.S.-specification trucks sold independently in Europe can exceed €80,000, while this officially distributed version remains below that threshold.

Ford’s broader pickup strategy was also mentioned briefly in the report. Alongside the gasoline-powered F-150, the company has already introduced the all-electric F-150 Lightning. The return of the Ram TRX was also referenced as another example of continued demand for large-displacement performance pickups.
