Jeep will reportedly unveil its new pickup truck, long rumored to be called the Jeep Scrambler, at the LA Auto Show later this month
The Los Angeles Auto Show serves as the host for a number of different vehicle reveals. Indeed, some of the year’s most highly anticipated models make their debut in L.A. later this month.
Reportedly among those vehicles set to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show is the long-awaited Jeep pickup truck.
The Latest Addition to the Jeep Lineup: Long-awaited 2019 Jeep Scrambler Pickup to arrive next year
An official press release from the LA Auto Show describes the vehicles that will make an appearance during the show. Specifically, the press release mentions a “pickup truck from Jeep.”
Yet, the name of this truck is not included in the announcement. Numerous reports suggest that it will be called the Jeep Scrambler.
A few facts have already been revealed about this Jeep-based pickup. For starters, it will be built alongside the Jeep Wrangler at Fiat Chrysler’s Toledo plant.
FCA has also stated that it will be a mid-size pickup model. That will place it in the same segment as the Chevy Colorado, the Toyota Tacoma, and the upcoming Ford Ranger model.
A Sneak Peek at the Scrambler: A glimpse at the 2019 Jeep Wrangler Pickup
Other than that, FCA has been pretty tight-lipped about details surrounding its new truck model. Still, drivers can probably expect to see the “Scrambler” on dealership lots sometime during the first half of 2019.
Currently, Jeep’s lineup is comprised entirely of utility vehicle models. A pickup truck will add some diversity to the Jeep family of vehicles.
Fortunately, Jeep fanatics won’t have to wait long for more news about this upcoming vehicle. The Jeep pickup truck will be revealed during press events prior to the LA Auto Show, which begins on November 30.
