Jeep Wrangler Takes Home 4×4/SUV of the Year Title for Ninth Time

The Jeep® Wrangler is no stranger to earning top honors at the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show. With the 2018 SEMA Show underway, the Jeep® Wrangler has established itself as the nine-time consecutive-winner of the 4×4/SUV of the Year award. Its first accolade dates back to SEMA’s beginning.

“The Jeep® Wrangler continues to lead the way in the customization world following the Mopar brand’s introduction late last year of more than 200 Jeep® Performance Parts and accessories,” said Steve Beahm, head of parts and service (Mopar) and passenger car brands, FCA — North America. “When it comes to personalization, Jeep® Wrangler is a star of our portfolio and it just keeps getting hotter.”
Four additional Jeep® vehicles that had been outfitted with Jeep® Performance Parts designed by Mopar were also proudly displayed at this year’s SEMA Show.
“Once again, the Jeep Wrangler is voted as a favorite from the aftermarket community, with more exhibitors choosing the Jeep® Wrangler as the SEMA ‘4×4/SUV of the Year,’” said SEMA President and CEO Chris Kersting. “Whether drivers are accessorizing the Jeep for off-roading or for everyday driving, there are outstanding options available for Jeep® owners.”
The 2018 Jeep® Wrangler is available at four, four-door trim levels — Sport, Sport S, Sahara and Rubicon — and three, two-door trim levels — Sport, Sport S, and Rubicon. The standard 3.6-liter V6 24-volt VVT engine with ESS paired to a six-speed manual transmission.

This year’s SEMA Show opened on Oct. 30 and will run through Nov. 2, in Las Vegas.
