LeBron James Stars in New Kia K900 Commercial in Cleveland
For quite some time now, LeBron James has been a spokesman for Kia, appearing in multiple commercials throughout the years. The basketball superstar even went as far as convincing viewers that he truly does drive a Kia K900. As the official sponsor of the NBA, Kia recently released a new spot starring the Cleveland Cavaliers power forward.

The new ad, entitled “Rain,” features the King experiencing a bit of doubt regarding his basketball career. As many NBA fans know, the Cavs had a strong start to the season but have faced some adversity as of late. While they are still at the top of the Eastern Conference (with the Boston Celtics in a very close second), the team has been struggling with many of their top performers not being able to play in recent games.
In the ad, LeBron is seen facing a collection of critical reporters while rain pours down on all of them. His narration covers the subject of doubt, saying, “Doubt isn’t a storm. Doubt is a drizzle.” The Cleveland man is then shown solemnly dressing into his uniform before a game and then later in his home watching highlights of mistakes made during previous games. Finally, LeBron is shown confidently driving a white Kia K900 on the soaked streets of Cleveland with the final message of “Doubt no more.”
Sure, the commercial could be understood that Kia vehicles are great to drive in the rain because of standard safety features like Electronic Stability Control or Vehicle Stability Management. But we’re thinking the overall life lesson is that there will always be naysayers and, although you may experience doubt, it’s always great when you can prove them (and yourself) wrong.
