Lexus Teases LF-SA Concept Before Geneva Reveal
In an astonishingly short press release this morning, Lexus announced its plan to reveal the LF-SA concept car at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March. From the looks of the car in the photo, the LF-SA will stick to the current Lexus design trends with the “spindle” style Predator grille and check mark daytime running lights. The front of this car is exactly what Metallica was talking about about in their song “The Thing That Should Not Be” from Master of Puppets.
Lexus also states that the LF-SA is a “driver-focused vehicle” that “explores unexpected territories for the brand”. This could suggest that the LF-SA concept will test the waters for a new model that will be sold in a new segment of the market, perhaps as a compact luxury car.
The 2016 Lexus GS F was revealed last month in Detroit, a performance sedan that shares the powerful 5.0-liter V8 engine with the RC F coupe. At the show, it was revealed that Lexus plans to reveal four “new models or mid-lifecycle updates” this year. Since nothing happened at the Chicago Auto Show, we’ll count the LF-SA as #2.
Whatever the LF-SA may be, we’ll just have to wait until March 3 to find out.
