Lincoln Navigator and Continental Win 2019 Middle East Car of the Year Awards
In Lincoln’s quest to become an internationally revered brand, it has focused on amplifying its luxury and exclusivity in key markets like the Middle East. Its focus on appealing to the elevated sentiments of drivers in the GCC and Levant regions has paid off with two trophies in the 2019 Middle East Car of the Year Awards.
Two of Lincoln’s flagship products — the Lincoln Navigator full-size SUV and Lincoln Continental premium sedan — took home top honors in their segments, earning the titles of Best Large Premium SUV of the Year and Best Midsized Executive Sedan of the Year, respectively. The winners in the 2019 MECOTY Awards are determined by a panel of 19 regional judges, who compare vehicles in each segment over several stages of analysis to arrive at a consensus winner.

Both the Navigator and Continental are representative of Lincoln’s focus on in-vehicle luxury and exceptional performance capabilities. The 2019 Navigator boasts a best-in-class 450-horsepower twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine, which can be paired with four-wheel drive and Lincoln Drive Modes to handle everything from road surfaces to sand. The Continental is also impressively powerful with its 400-horsepower twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6, which can work in conjunction with intelligent all-wheel drive and Dynamic Torque Vectoring for superior handling.
