Honda Sales in March were sky high thanks in part to the Honda Civic.

While many American carmakers are seeing a slight sales decrease due to the harshest winter we’ve had in many years, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. continues show a large sales growth after posting its March Honda sales report. With total Honda and Acura vehicle sales reaching 133,318 units, both Honda divisions are looking to continue this steady sales increase throughout the year.

In the Honda division, the Accord was named the best-selling Honda model for the month, making up 33,962 units of Honda’s total recorded sales of 117,738 units. With these sales, Honda was able to report an almost 30% month-over-month increase.

“With all of the independent data showing the competition getting back on the juice of heavy incentives and fleet sales, we couldn’t be more please to see our core models—Accord, Civic, and CR-V—attract such significant interest from retail buyers,” said Jeff Conrad, Honda division senior vice president and general manager.

The Acura division also saw a great increase in sales; specifically, the MDX, the brand’s flagship SUV, saw a 46% increase compared to last year’s sales. The Acura RDX also saw a sales increase, making March its 23rd month in a row of increased sales.

With the 2015 Honda Fit going on sale this month, there seems to be no stopping this winning streak for the Honda brand.
