Mercedes-Benz Worldwide Sales Pass the One Million Vehicle Mark in 2015
As of the end of July, Mercedes-Benz has now sold over one million cars worldwide, thanks to surges in sales in Europe and China.
During the first seven months in July, 1,048,178 Mercedes-Benz vehicles were sold in countries spanning the globe. 149,753 of those vehicles were sold during the month of July.
A large portion of these Mercedes vehicles were sold in Europe. Since the beginning of the year, 457,468 Mercedes automobiles were purchased across the continent. The largest consumer of Mercedes products in throughout Europe is Germany. 156,569 vehicles have been sold in Germany alone in the first seven months of 2015, with 24,178 German Mercedes purchases in July.
Even in a staggering Chinese market where automobile sales are experiencing a market slowdown, Mercedes-Benz has been able to find success where its rivals could not. 29,540 Mercedes vehicles were sold in China during July. This is a 41.5% increase in regional sales over July 2014. A large portion of the brand’s Chinese sales is thanks to the E-Class fleet of vehicles.
Overall, 332,377 Mercedes cars have been sold in the Asia-Pacific region so far this year.
While not as dramatic as the sales increases in Europe and Asia, American sales did achieve a new record for July. 27,536 units were sold in the United States during July, an increase of 1.2% over the 27, 192 units sold during July of 2014. So far, 212,258 Mercedes-Benz vehicles have been sold in the United States during 2015.
