Every month, we get a glimpse into how our favorite automakers are doing with their sales figures. Once again, the numbers are in, and Nissan for one has every reason to be happy about them. The month saw a new Nissan April sales record, with total sales for Nissan Group up 18.3 percent, and Nissan Division up 18.3 percent in April 2014.

The outstanding performance marked both Nissan Group and Division’s best-ever April sales, as well as the 13th monthly record of the last 14 months.

A wide range of vehicles in the Nissan lineup can be attributed to the Japanese automaker’s success, including the Altima, Rogue, Versa, Sentra, LEAF, and JUKE. While some remain classic staples of the automotive industry, others have yet to be around for much more than a year—yet all of them experienced significant growth and helped set the new Nissan April sales record.

Most notable were the JUKE, with sales up a whopping 55.2 percent, the Versa, up 46.5 percent, and the LEAF, up 33 percent and still the world’s best-selling electric car.
