Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior ProjectNissan is known for its unique concept cars, but we have been noticing lately that some of them are starting to follow a trend. Early in 2016, Nissan unveiled the Nissan Rogue Warrior concept in Canada, which attached snow tracks on a Nissan Rogue to navigate Canada’s snowy slopes. A month later, at the Chicago Auto Show, Nissan rolled out, so to speak, the Nissan Winter Warrior collection which did the same thing to a Rogue, Murano, and Pathfinder. Now, Nissan has done it again with the Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior Project.

This latest concept vehicle made its debut at the New York International Auto Show and was ready for snow and a multitude of other terrains. Nissan’s bestselling model, the 2017 Rogue, again receives a full set of snow/sand tracks that lift it high up the ground. This Rogue also received a khaki camouflage exterior body wrap, as well as military-grade yellow glass on the windows and lights. An ARB gear basket, Warn 4K winch, LED lights, and custom fender flairs round out the Rogue Trail Warrior’s special look.

Amazingly the Nissan Rogue’s powertrain was largely unchanged to become this new concept. The only changes were made to make space for the large tracks and move them, but the vehicle still has its factory-standard engine and transmission. Considering that this vehicle has 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque, it is more than ready to conquer challenging terrain.
