Thriving Captiva sales

Per GM Authority, GM introduced the Captiva to Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, and Peru at the end of May 2019. And Uruguay and Columbia have the model on pre-order.

So far, GM has sold nearly 5,000 units in these markets. the highest number of sales came from Ecuador, where consumers purchased a total of 2,350 units. Chile comes in second place, purchasing a total of 1,300 units.

These statistics have elevated the Captiva to the status of the second most popular utility vehicle in these South American markets (the Tracker comes in first). It also makes it one of the brand’s overall best-selling models.

Reasons to love the Chevy Captiva

The Captiva is a well-rounded choice for anyone that wants a fun SUV with a thoughtful and modern interior

There are many reasons that South Americans are gravitating toward the new Captiva. Chevy is marketing the model as a stylish, versatile SUV that puts the comfort and fun back into driving. It can accommodate up to seven passengers and has a 60/40 split-fold second-row seat and an available 50/50 split-fold third-row seat for flexible seating arrangements.

A six-way adjustable driver’s seat minimizes soreness on long journeys. And the seats are covered in Eco leather upholstery so passengers can feel at home while knowing that the Captiva respects the environment as much as they do.

Modern safety features boost confidence when behind the wheel. Chevy has incorporated a high-strength metal frame that will absorb the impact of a collision to help shield passengers. It automatically monitors the tire pressure and temperature so you can know when a tire is getting low or might have a leak so you can prevent a blowout. Front and Rear Parking Assistant tools make it easier to park the vehicle without scratching the exterior, so you can keep the Captiva shiny and smooth for years to come.

The Captiva also delivers the latest tech to keep passengers engaged on long trips. Each model comes with an 8-inch color touch screen paired with Bluetooth so you can access favorite apps and playlists for a more pleasant journey. USB ports enhance multimedia options during the drive.
