Tony Kanaan's No. 10 Taylor Swift IndyCar wipes out at Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix

T. Swift is not impressed

Today was decidedly not a fairytale for IndyCar racer Tony Kanaan, who crashed his No. 10 Taylor Swift racecar at the Belle Isle Grand Prix in Detroit.

In the end, Kanaan was just a boy in a Chevy truck racecar that had a tendency of getting stuck… in the middle of the pack, where he was rear-ended by fellow driver Graham Rahal.

This could create some bad blood between Kanaan and Rahal, but it’s not entirely Rahal’s fault. Instead of teardrops on his guitar, there were raindrops on his racecar, leading to some less than ideal track conditions, and he knew they were trouble when he walked in.

“It’s impossible to see right now [due to the rain],” Rahal told MotorSportsTalk. “You just got to be smart out there, be really, really cautious. I was just playing this out as a 70-lap race or two hours, and I don’t think lot of guys are right now.”

Kanaan should have known when he began the race that he was either going to earn a win that lasted forever, or he was gonna go down in flames. Now that it’s over, he can tell us if the high was worth the rain.
