SUVs, Continental Lead Lincoln in Strong June Sales
Lincoln closed out the first half of 2017 with another month of solid growth, finishing June with deliveries totaling 9,275 vehicles and increasing 5.3% over sales from June 2016. Lincoln car sales were up 1.8% at a total of 3,229 units, and SUV sales were up 7.3% with 6,046 units delivered. Retail sales were up 11.3%, good for the brand’s 17th consecutive month of growth in that regard.

Lincoln’s total car sales growth was made possible by way of sales totaling 973 units for the new Continental sedan. This easily doubled 2016 sales of the MKS, of which Lincoln also sold 16 units in June. MKZ sales were down 18.8% at 2,240 units, settling the sedan in third place in terms of volume sellers for the brand.
All four of Lincoln’s SUVs saw sales increases in June: MKC sales were up 15.8% at 2,304 units; sales of the MKX totaled 2,475 units, up 0.4%; MKT sales were up 10.8% at 287 units; and Navigator was up 6.3% at 980 units.
Through the first half of the year, Lincoln’s sales are up 5.7% at 56,337 vehicles sold in total. Car sales are up 14.1% at 20,696 units delivered, led by 6,246 units for the Continental. SUV sales are up 1.4% at a total of 35,641 units delivered. Sales of the MKC are up 11.2% at 13,465 vehicles delivered, and sales of the MKX are up 2.7% at 15,502 units.
