Which Vehicles and Cities Rank High for Car Thefts in US?

Car theft is a real threat to any American car owner. Depending on which model of vehicle you drive and where you live, this threat can increase. 24/7 Wall Street recently shared the latest stats, indicating which cities had the highest car theft rates and which models criminals targeted. It based the data on the National Insurance Crime Bureau’s 2017 Hot Spots Vehicle Theft report.

Luxury vehicles and sports cars were surprisingly absent from the list. However,  full-sized Chevy pickups were one of the top vehicle models stolen. (I mean, who wouldn’t want a shiny new Silverado 1500 of their own?) So, if you own one of these bad boys, use extra caution in protecting it from criminals, especially if you live in or near certain cities like Cleveland, Manchester, or Albuquerque.
